What I liked is that this was based on my actual Loan Estimate, not generic refinance ads or rough quotes. Once another lender saw the numbers, the pricing changed quickly. It gave me a much clearer sense of what my refinance should really cost.
I didn’t end up switching lenders, but I still benefited. My original lender improved the rate once they saw the competing offer. That alone made the process worth it.
I’ve used sites where you fill out forms and get calls from lenders, but this was different. It was based on a real Loan Estimate and actual pricing, which made the comparison meaningful.
